This is a stock Ernie Ball Music Man Big Al 5-string strung with the new Ernie Ball Slinky Cobalt strings featuring a roasted maple neck and 3 single coil pickups. It is called JoJo in honor of my late brother Joe DeLeon – the bass was delivered to me on the day of Joe’s 1-year anniversary of his passing.

In 2016 I will have been involved with Ernie Ball for 20 years, having been featured on the back page of their 1996 catalog in Germany as one of their endorsers for bass guitars (listed as Robby Billasch in very good company I might add). To this day my collection has several Music Man basses and this second Big Al 5 seemed the perfect piece to celebrate Joe’s anniversary. The Big Al model was retired in 2016, which makes this bass even more special.
